Laboratory of Plant Physiology

Our research objectives are to elucidate the mechanism of
starch biosynthesis system in plants and to produce the novel
starches and polysaccharides using metabolic engineering.

We pursue the research and educational activities by analyzing the
strategy of plants for photosynthetic productivity and tolerance to
environmental stresses, and by establishing the technology for their
regulation and application.
